Tourism NT's text calls these 'deluxe rooms' even though its room card says Standard Twin. The layout is the useful part: two queen beds in 39 square metres. Two adults and two children fit, or four adults who do not mind sharing a bathroom.
The separate bath is a quiet advantage after a day of gorge walking. A soak after a long gorge walk or a Larapinta section does more for tired legs than a quick shower.
Families: the practical bits
- Tourism NT tags the property family-friendly and lists a children's pool among its facilities.
- Juicy Rump welcomes children until 10pm, per its restaurant page.
- The casino floor and the Casbah café-bar inside it are 18+ only. Restaurants outside the casino are open to all ages.
- The Lasseters Health Club runs child minding for its members; we could not confirm whether hotel guests can use it.
Ask the desk whether a cot or a rollaway can go into a twin room. The operator does not publish that, so we do not promise it.
Two friends on a road trip
If you are splitting the drive to Uluṟu, the twin room means two proper beds and no negotiating. Spread the gear between two people, lay out tomorrow's kit on the desk, and get the earliest breakfast sitting before you leave.

- A soft cooler bag for the car: the drive between gaps is longer than children expect
- Hats with a neck flap and long sleeves for the walks; BoM's average January maximum at the airport is 36.6 °C
- Swimmers for the hotel pool and for Glen Helen or Ellery Creek, if water is in
- A head torch per person for evening walks back from Anzac Hill or a stargazing tour
For a two-person trip with no need for separate beds, the Standard King is the same size with more floor space around one bed.
