Editorial verdict, no star score

Verdict: a practical base, best for active days and late dinners

We do not give stars. Here is who the hotel suits, who it does not, and the questions to ask before you book.

If you plan to spend daylight in the West MacDonnell Ranges, drive to Uluṟu, or sit through a conference at the convention centre, this hotel covers the basics without fuss. You get a room with outdoor space, a pool for the late afternoon, food from early morning to late evening, and a town centre within walking range. If you want a quiet retreat with nothing else going on, or a building without gaming, look elsewhere.

Questions to ask before you confirm

  1. What time is check-in, and can a late flight arrival hold the room?
  2. Is there a charge for the car park, and where do trailers or 4WDs with roof tents go?
  3. Which room types face the MacDonnell Ranges rather than the pool or the golf course?
  4. Is any construction planned for your dates?
  5. If you need an accessible room, which features does it have (roll-in shower, grab rails, bed height)?

Our request desk asks these on your behalf if you mention them in the notes. You can also ring the hotel on (08) 8950 7777 or read the official site.

How we reached this view

We read the operator's own pages for the restaurants, the casino, the pool, the spa and the media releases, Tourism NT's accommodation listing for room types, the convention centre's accessibility guide, and the public sources named on each page. We did not stay as guests for this guide, and we say so rather than invent a night. When a fact could not be traced to a source, it is not on the site. Details on About us.

Ask our desk for a room

Two short steps. Our booking desk checks the dates with the hotel or its booking partner and replies by email with what is available and the price. We never ask for a card, and this is not yet a booking.
