Five outlets on site, from a 6am breakfast buffet to a grill that serves until 9.30pm. Hours are from the operator's pages.
When you are using the hotel as a base, food is logistics. You need breakfast early, something light at lunch if you come back to swim, and a dinner that does not require driving into town. The complex covers all three. Hours below were read from each outlet's page on lasseters.com.au on 31 October 2026; public holidays and private events change them.

Tali: breakfast before the road
Tali is the hotel's main restaurant: modern Australian and contemporary Asian cooking around a theatrical open kitchen, with an extensive wine list. For a base-camp traveller the line that matters is the breakfast buffet at 6am. On a weekday you can be eating at 6, on the road at 6.45 and at Simpsons Gap before the car park fills.
Lunch runs from noon to 3pm and dinner from 6 to 10pm, every day. Group menus are available on request, which helps if you are travelling with a tour party or a conference team. Tali also hosts the operator's dated events: a Melbourne Cup Day luncheon on 3 November 2026 and, on 25 December 2026, a plated lunch from 12pm and a buffet dinner from 6pm. Bookings are essential for both Christmas sittings.

Juicy Rump: the grill with the range view
Juicy Rump is the casual choice: a bar and grill with a covered deck and a beer garden that looks across to the MacDonnell Ranges, leather booths inside and a 103-inch screen for sport. Wednesday is steak night and Tuesday is Mexican, according to the operator's weekly listings. There is live music on the deck from 7pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
Children are welcome until 10pm, which matters if you are a family after an early dinner. The kitchen closes at 9.30pm even on nights when the bar stays open until 3am. The convention centre's accessibility guide notes QR ordering at Juicy Rump and accessible outdoor seating at both Juicy Rump and Tali.
Splash Cafe: lunch in your swimmers
If your day plan is out early and back by lunchtime, Splash Cafe beside the heated pool is the simplest lunch on the property. It serves smoothies, coffee and light meals from 11.30am to 6pm daily. Bring a hat: the BoM's average for the airport station is 199 clear days a year.
Casbah: inside the casino, adults only
The Casbah is a smoke-free café-bar in the centre of the casino and is open to people aged 18 and over only. It serves meals from 10am to 11pm. The operator's table shows closing at 2am Sunday to Wednesday and 3am Thursday to Saturday, while body text on the same page says 'from 11.00am until late'. We print the table; check on the day.
Tempo: private functions only
Tempo is a closed function space with a private dining room, lounge and open bar, used for 18+ events with grazing boards. It is not a walk-in restaurant. Enquiries go through the convention centre.
Eating off site
Town is 1.8 km away on foot. Todd Mall has cafés, and the Bean Tree Café sits inside the Olive Pink Botanic Garden, 1.7 km from the hotel by road. Out in the West MacDonnell Ranges, Standley Chasm runs a kiosk; if you camp there, dinner orders close at 4.30pm, per its FAQ. Beyond that, carry your own lunch. See Seasons and kit.
- Food kit for a day in the ranges
- Lunch packed the night before: there is no café at most gaps
- Salty snacks as well as sweet; you lose salt in dry heat
- Two litres of water per person as a minimum, the figure Tourism NT gives for a normal day; more if you walk
- A small rubbish bag; you carry out what you carry in
