The one way we are paid
When you send a room request through the form on this site, our desk checks the dates with the hotel or with a booking partner that can complete the reservation. If that request becomes a confirmed stay, the hotel or the partner pays us a commission. You pay the normal rate. We never charge you, and we never ask for your card.
If the request does not become a stay, nobody pays anything. That is the whole model.
What is not connected right now
- No advertising. There are no ad networks, no banner slots and no sponsored posts on this site.
- No affiliate networks. We have not joined any hotel affiliate programme. Links to the official site carry no tracking codes.
- No casino income. We receive nothing from the casino, its operator's loyalty programme, or any gambling business, and we would not accept it.
- No paid reviews. The verdict is ours. No one paid for a better one.
- No analytics. No counters or trackers run on these pages.
If any of that changes, this page changes first, with the date.
Why this model
A guide to one hotel has an obvious conflict: we benefit when you stay there. We think the honest answer is to say so plainly, print the weaknesses alongside the strengths, and let you decide. The verdict lists who should not book here. The field notes list what we could not confirm. Neither page would exist if we were trying to hide the commission.
The 'official site' buttons
Buttons marked 'official site' go to lasseters.com.au with no tags or tracking. If you book there directly, we earn nothing, and that is fine.
Who runs this
